Lisa Epstein, President/Chef Owner

Lisa Epstein has been Chef-Owner of Encore Catering since she founded the company in 1993. After graduating from the Hudson County Culinary Arts Institute, she bought a small storefront in Madison and called it Encore. From her humble beginnings in that 600 square foot location, Lisa now runs a multi-million dollar business and oversees a 7,500 square foot operation.

Her devotion to quality is evident in the awards that have been bestowed upon Encore, including #1 Caterer in New Jersey by NJBIZ Magazine. Lisa has a creative eye and sharp business skills and is a member of ICA, NACE, Catersource. Lisa is a Board Member of the Foundation of Hudson Community College.

Karen Epstein, Vice President

Karen Epstein joined on as Encore partner in September of 2009. Coming from a successful career as a Regional Sales Director for a major telecommunications company, Karen brings a talent for top-notch customer service, operational excellence, and financial management.

She has put her “customer first” philosophy into practice, training the staff on the importance of “wowing” the client with an accommodating and professional attitude. As such, Karen helps perpetuate the highest quality of service on a daily basis while enhancing and growing both the Corporate and Social Sides of the business. Karen is the Vice President of the Greater NJ Nace Chapter.
